“Overall I lost 17lbs in 10 weeks and went from a size 14 to a size 10. I still have more weight to lose but I am confident that my new healthy lifestyle will help me achieve that…”
I have spent most of my life obsessing about food and what I put in my mouth. I can’t remember a time when I was happy with my weight, however when I finished university at 21, I found myself at my lowest and unhappiest at 14 & 1/2 stone and a size 18. I vowed to do something about this so I tried a mixture of ‘diets’; starting very restrictive diets, diet shake drinks, low carb diets and diet pills. It worked and I shed 5 stone, half of which I promptly put back on once I started eating and went back to my old habits.
I chatted to Emma about my situation and she offered me some options. I was skeptical at first; I thought that there was nothing I didn’t already know and hadn’t already had tried. I thought that this would be another ‘fad’ that I was trying that ultimately wasn’t going to give me the results I wanted. How wrong could I be!
Emma has taught me how to understand food, how to understand my body and how to eat to nourish my body and give it what it needs to function. The things she said really made sense and she was realistic about how to make the changes in my life without alienating myself from meals out with my friends and family. I never felt that she was judging me and I looked forward to my weekly meetings with Emma and building upon the things that I was learning. Everything was tailored to me and changed accordingly to get the best results. She told me that one day I wouldn’t want to eat a bag of giant chocolate buttons but would opt for a healthier alternative… I didn’t believe that would ever happen but to my great surprise it did!
I have lost weight but I have also noticed that my skin is much clearer, my digestion is much better and I have much more energy. I didn’t expect these side effects to something I was doing to lose weight!
Overall I lost 17lbs in 10 weeks and went from a size 14 to a size 10/12. I still have more weight to lose but I am confident that my new healthy lifestyle will help me achieve that.
Sometimes we think we know what to do, but this is not always the case. In fact I have already had friends ask me what I have been doing as I look good and I have recommended Emma. For once in my life food doesn’t control me, it doesn’t control my mood and how I feel choosing an outfit to wear for a night out with friends.
